Timothy Allen Porter
Age 60, of Tawas City, Michigan died on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan surrounded by his loving family. He was born the son of Jimmy and Norma (Chapman) Porter on February 11, 1961 in Flint, Michigan. Tim absolutely cherished the beauty of the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. Some of his favorite fishing was in his boat floating down the AuSable River. Tim enjoyed camping trips with his family and friends. He always claimed that his most cherished moments in his life were seeing his grandbabies born and being called a PAPA! On August 16, 1980 Tim married his wife and best friend, Cheri Porter (Castano), at the Tawas United Methodist Church. Together they shared 41 years of marriage and raised three children all of whom survive him; Amanda (Tony) Lossing, Zachary (Harley) Porter and Matieson (William) Best. Also surviving Tim is his step mother Dolores Chughtai of Colorado, sister Deborah (Eric) Fogel of Chicago and half brother Jimmy Porter of Colorado; his adored grandchildren, Levi, Ivy Grace, Beverly, Lucy and Leon and many extended family members. Tim was preceded in death by his parents and his best friend Jim Jones whom he is already having a grand party with! Per his wishes cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions may be made to the Porter Family. Condolences may be shared at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com
