Raymond Andrew Kosmalski

Age 86, of East Tawas, formerly a resident of Brighton, Michigan died under the loving care of his family and hospice on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at his home. He was born the son of Chester and Anna (Dubois) Kosmalski in Detroit, Michigan. At the age of 24, Ray was drafted into the United States ARMY and was stationed in Germany. While Ray was stationed in Germany he was fortunate to play the game of baseball that he loved so much for the United States ARMY team. Ray was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in East Tawas. He enjoyed life and lived each day to the utmost fullest! Ray loved traveling, and being outdoors while enjoying hunting and fishing. He had his pilot’s license and enjoyed seeing the beauty of the land from the skies. Ray was a salvage diver in the Great Lakes, finding so many “treasures” throughout his many experiences. He was proud of his home and often would invest much of his time doing remodeling projects. Ray and his infectious smile will always be remembered and missed by all whom he knew and loved him! He is survived by his wife Patricia Kosmalski, whom he married on November 27, 1971 at St. Albert Catholic Church in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. Together they shared 50 years of marriage! Ray is also survived by his 3 children, Kelly Stacy, James Carpenter and Christopher Kosmalski; his brother Joseph (Mary Lou) Kosmalski; and his grandson Jacob Lafferty. Ray was preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings. Cremation has taken place and a funeral mass will be held at a later date at Holy Family Catholic Church in East Tawas, Michigan.
