Visitation for William will take place Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 2-8:00 p.m. and Friday, March 19, 2021 from 10-11:00 a.m. at Buresh Funeral Home, 15 West Maple Ridge Road, Twining, Michigan 48766.


In accordance with ongoing pandemic, guests are requested to wear facial covering in the funeral home and practice social distancing where the number of guests is limited to 25 at a given time.

Services

Funeral ceremony will be held Friday morning at 11:00 AM at the Buresh Funeral Home, 15 West Maple Ridge Road, Twining, Michigan 48766. Pastor James Payne will officiate with interment following in Cedar Valley Cemetery in Twining, Michigan.

Obituary Notice

William George Grauherr, age 80, of Turner, Michigan passed away Monday, March 15, 2021 with his family by his side at home.

William was born June 7, 1940 in Rogers City, Michigan to the late Clarence Victor and Hazel Laverne (Kerr) Grauherr. Upon graduating high school, William began a long time career with General Motors retiring in 1996. On September 7, 1963 he married the former Eleanor Margaret Box in Turner, Michigan and together they raised five children, Keith, Karen, Christopher, Dean and Michelle. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons and grandsons as well as spending time with all of his family.

William is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Eleanor; children Keith (Lorie) Grauherr, Karen (Tim) Hartman, Christopher (Kelly) Grauherr; Dean (Sherri Rowbottom) Grauherr, and Michelle (Chris) Senda; grandchildren, Travis (Cassandra) Hartman, Allison Hartman, Dean Grauherr, Alex Marie Grauherr, Melissa Grauherr, Justine Senda, and Zane Senda; great granddaughter, Natalie; step grandchildren, Lisa, Angela, Denny, and Teresa; numerous step great grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Nowell (Stephanie) Box and Albert Commire; sister-in-law, Patricia Box; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by brothers, Jim, Joe, Jack, and Laurence “Butch”; sisters, Ruth, Lucille, and Marie.
