Obituary Notice

Warren L. Caverly, age 93, of Prescott, passed away peacefully at home on March 1, 2020 with his family at his side.

He is survived by his daughter; Brenda Caverly. Daughter-in-law; Diane (Duane) Lauria. Grandchildren; Jeanice (Alvin) Revis and their son’s; Brayden, Clayton & Grayson. Aaron (Joanna) Brager, Jr. and their children; Ellen, Laney, Shay & Miles. Casey (Amanda) Brager and his daughter; Madisyn. Donald (Britny) Caverly and their children; Quinn & Elliot. Warren (Bonnie) Caverly, II and their child; Bryton. Elaine (Joshua) Clark and their children; Haylie, Kylie & Jayden. Bonnie (Jason) Michalski and their daughter’s; Lillian & Piper and Otto Brager. Sisters; Bernice Switzer and Joan (Karl) Gust. Sister-in-law; Edwina (Bill) Coleman, Elaine Caverly and Maxine Caverly. Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive.

Warren was born on December 20, 1926 in Prescott, Michigan to the late Martin and Mary (Streeter) Caverly. He was married 44 years to the late Elaine (Pettit) and they lovingly raised their adopted children; Wayne and Brenda. Mr. Caverly served our country with the United States Navy and was a member of the Hale American Legion Post #422. When not farming, he enjoyed dancing, traveling, hunting, fishing, his faithful dogs and being a friend to anyone that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his son; Wayne. His wife of 25 years; Winifred (Wiseman) who passed away on May 17, 2019. Grandson; Teddy Brager. Brothers; Leslie, Emery, Patrick, Elwood and Bidwell Caverly. Sisters; Sylvia Clark and Leona Forro. Brother-in-law; Dean Switzer and son-in-law; Aaron Brager, Sr.

The Family will receive friends at the Buresh Funeral Home (101 E. Harrison Street, Prescott, Michigan, 48756) from 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM Tuesday, March 3, 2020. A Masonic Service will honor Mr. Caverly at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at the Buresh Funeral Home with burial and military honors to follow at Logan Township Cemetery.

All are invited to join the family for lunch and fellowship at 1:00 PM Wednesday at the Logan Township Hall (4507 E. M-55, Prescott, Michigan, 48756).

Brenda, I am so sorry for the loss of your Daddy. I know that your heart hurts very much and though I didn’t know him, I know you. He raised such a kind hearted daughter which speaks volumes about him. His kind and fun personality seems to radiate in his handsome photo here. It seems that he has lots of others who are broken hearted too and my heart goes out to them along with you.
