Obituary Notice

Walter William Schultz Jr., of East Tawas, formerly of Armada, passed away peacefully at his home in East Tawas, age 85 years. Walter was born on January 14, 1932 in Michigan City, Indiana to Walter and Eve (Earl) Schultz Sr. He graduated from law school in Detroit with a Juris Doctorate degree and practiced in various levels of law for many years through working in his private practice and also having the opportunity to serve as the Assistant Prosecutor in Macomb County. Walter was a very knowledgeable man who enjoyed to inspire. For several years, he even had the opportunity to teach different studies to students in high school. He married his wife, Jean (Hennig) on August 30, 1958 and together they celebrated nearly 60 years of marriage! For 15 years, both Jean and Walter operated the local bowling alley, Tawas Lanes. Walter is survived by his wife Jean Schultz of East Tawas; 5 children, Gregory (Janet) Schultz of Macomb, Peggy Schultz of South Pasadena, California, Lynn (Stephen) Philp of Kentwood, Denise (Michel) Levens of Lake Orion, and Patricia (Robert) McClarren of Ypsilanti; 5 grandchildren, Steven (Juli), Scott, Colin, Colette, and Elyse; 1 nephew, Willard (Kris) Schultz Jr.; and many special friends. Walter is preceded in death by his parents, and twin brother, Willard Schultz Sr. Per his wishes, cremation will take place and at this time there are no services scheduled.
