Obituary Notice

Virginia A. Clark, age 70, of Coleman, MI, formerly of Hale, MI passed away on November 20, 2017 at McLaren Lapeer Region in Lapeer. She was born on May 15, 1947 in Flint to the late Virgil & Grace (Short) Smith. She married Edward Clark on March 28, 1964 who preceded her in death. She was a bus driver for the Brandon School District prior to her retirement. Virginia loved to spend time with her grandchildren, read, knit, go antiquing, tend her flower garden and spoil her dog Sugar.


Virginia is survived by her children; Kelly (Tony) Bax of Coleman, Michael (Candy) Clark of Clio, Kimberly (Dave) Mitchell of Stedman, NC and Chad (Anke) Clark of St. Louis, MI; 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; and brother, James (Deloris) Smith of Embarrass, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, and daughter, Renee Clark.


Visitation will take place on Friday, November 24, 2017 from 4 to 8 PM at the Buresh Funeral Home in Prescott. Services will be on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with interment following at the Logan Township Cemetery in Hale. Online condolences may be made to the family at

Aww... So sorry for your loss. Mrs. Clark was my bus driver in ortonville (Brandon) and then a customer of mine when I worked at Independent bank. She was a wonderful person. Prayers to all the family
