Violet Frances Bowlsby
Age 95 of Wilber Township, Michigan died peacefully at her home with her family at her side on, Monday, October 2, 2017. She was born the daughter of George and Freda (nee Prince) Kindell on June 6, 1922 in Grant Township, Michigan. Violet was the oldest living resident to date in Wilber Township. She enjoyed crafts, fishing and hunting on the family farm. She married Edward Bowlsby on January 1, 1939 in Whittemore and together they shared 54 years of marriage and raised two children whom survive her; Sally VanWinkelen of Oscoda and John and his wife Theresa Bowlsby of Macomb. Siblings, George Kindell, Larry (Josephine) Kindell, Victor (Irene) Kindell all of National City, Gertrude Sheridan of Tawas City and Alice Rickle of Glennie. Grandchildren, Craig (Gigget) Bowlsby, Julie Bowlsby, Karen (Howard) Cole, Peter ( Brenda) Caterina, Tony (Mary) Caterina, Charlie Caterina, Rose (Ken) Cole, Robin (Calvin) Osterhaven and Cindy (Mike) Zuehlke; 12 Great – grandchildren, 3 Great - great - grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Violet was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, Harold Kindell, Johnny Kindell, Howard Kindell, Raymond Kindell, Helen Nord, Irene Wolcott, Leo Kindell and Vernie Kindell. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Buresh Funeral Home in Tawas City, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Tawas Chapel. Interment will take place in the Whittemore Saint’s Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Condolences may be shared at
