Obituary Notice
Thomas Roy Freeman, age 92 of Hale, formerly of Goodrich, passed away peacefully at Hale Creek Manor on December 24, 2020.
He is survived by his loving children, Sherry (Dan) Ross of Greenville and Gary (Anne) Freeman of Oscoda. Grandchildren, Kerry (Gene) Garza of East Grand Rapids, Krista (Keith) Burkeen of Kalamazoo and Eric (Leslie) Freeman of West Branch. Step grandson, Gilbert (Noel) McCann of Flint. Several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
Mr. Freeman was preceded by his beloved wife of 72 years, Laura, on July 19, 2020. Also preceding him in death are his parents, Roy and Nina (Clayton) Freeman, brother, Neil Freeman and sister, Mary Lou Loefler.
Thomas was born on November 28, 1928 in Flint, Michigan to the late Roy and Nina (Clayton) Freeman. He graduated from Davison High School and General Motors Institute before beginning his apprenticeship with Fisher Body before retiring 42 years later as a Tool & Die Supervisor in the Cadillac Division. Thomas enjoyed fishing, gardening and was a member of the Hale United Methodist Church.
