Funeral ceremony for Ted will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Whittemore Baptist Church. Pastor Daniel O’Brien will officiate with interment following in Saints Cemetery in Whittemore, Michigan.

Obituary Notice

Theodore Kovaluk, age 93, of Whittemore, Michigan passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021 at MidMichigan Medical Center in West Branch, Michigan after a lengthy illness.

Ted was born August 21, 1927 in Pottstown, Pennsylvania to the late Theodore and Anna (Sennock) Kovaluk.  He was a star baseball player in high school and went on to try his luck in the minor league in Florida after his short time in the Marine Corps.  For over 20 years, Ted was a salesman in California and Texas of aviation parts before he retired and moved back closer to home.  In 2009 he married Janet Louise Kovaluk, his deceased younger brother's wife and together they have shared 11 years of marriage. 

Ted is survived by his wife, Janet Kovaluk; step children, Randy (Charmaine) Kovaluk, Daniel Kovaluk, and Darrell (Debbie) Kovaluk; seven step grandchildren; numerous step great grandchildren; siblings, Daniel and Anna; numerous nieces and nephews; and church family and friends.  In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by brothers, Michael and John Kovaluk; step children, Michael, Jr., April and Patricia Kovaluk.

Visitation for Ted will take place 10-11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Whittemore Baptist Church, 210 North Bullock Street, Whittemore, Michigan.  Funeral ceremony will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Daniel O'Brien officiating.  Ted will be laid to rest in Saints Cemetery in Whittemore, Michigan immediately following the ceremony. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Whittemore Baptist Church.  Online condolences may be offered at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com
