Obituary Notice

Susan Elizabeth Brown Obituary
On Friday March 4, 2016 Susan Elizabeth Eppihimer Tyers Brown bravely fought the final round with cancer and although cancer had the last victory, Susan took the championship. Susan faced every aspect of her life with passion, determination and love and those characteristics were just a few that her friends and family adored in her.
A daughter who was loved deeply by her mother and step-father– Janet and Harry Tayloe of White Stone, Va. and preceded in death by her father David Eppihimer Sr. of Tampa Fla, Susan was born as an “Army brat” at Fort Leonard Wood Missouri.
Susan was a sister who was very much loved and respected by her older brother David Eppihimer Jr. and his wife Lisa of White Stone Va., her younger sister Barbara Wagner and her husband Kenneth of King George Va., and step brother Stephen Tayloe and his wife Jenny of Reisterstown Md., Susan was the quintessential middle child who alternated between a sanity checker for her older brother and best friend and champion to her younger sister. Susan was always there with a kind and loving or brutally honest word – whichever was most needed in the situation and she was unwavering in her devotion to her family. She also leaves behind two sisters in law Ginny Tenney of Williamsburg, Va. and Sherry Jensen of Millington Mich., a brother in law David Brown of Tennessee and mother in law Virginia Leisure of Blairsville Ga.
Susan was married to Stephen Brown of Millington and shared a blended family with children she loved fiercely. Her children included Tara Brown of Charlottesville Va., Jason Brown of Newport News Va., Jordan Tyers of Turner Michigan, Michael Tyers of Richmond Va. and Tristan Brown of Turner Michigan were her joy as well as the many whom she lovingly ‘adopted’.
Susan was blessed with four grandchildren: Emma Shiriilla, Katie Brown, Adrian Tyers and Rylan Tyers. Her great delight was in spoiling her grandbabies.
Susan was a 1983 graduate of Lancaster County High School along with Washington School for Secretaries and spent 30 years living in the Northern Neck before moving to her dream home in her adopted hometown of Turner Michigan. While she was only a resident for a short time there, Susan made fast and very dear friends who will miss her greatly.
Susan is survived as well by many nieces and nephews; CJ Jensen of Fenton Mich., and Bill Brown of Fenton Mich., Jeremy Carter of Millington, Ginny Hayes of Flint Mich., Courtney Missentzis of Grand Blanc, Garret and Carter Tenney in California, David Brown of Pittsburg Penn. as well as Michelle “Jess” Carman of King George Va., Crystal Sheffield of White Stone, Va., Greyson Wagner of Quinton Va., Holly Eppihimer of Weems Va. and Ethan and Savannah Eppihimer of White Stone Va.
She was preceded in death by nephew Hunter Eppihimer of White Stone, Va.
