Ruth E. Barted, 86, of Au Gres, Michigan formerly of Saginaw, Michigan passed away Saturday morning, September 9, 2017 at Tendercare in Tawas City, Michigan.
Ruth was born December 1, 1930 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Harold E. and Ella (Rodammer) Thick. She married Ray O. Barted on July 15, 1950 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Saginaw, Michigan and together they raised three children, Ray, Brenda, and Linda.
Ruth was a cook for many years at Saginaw County Juvenile Home. She enjoyed playing euchre, and had crocheted numerous afghans for every member of her family. Ruth was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Saginaw and current member of St. John Lutheran Church in Au Gres, Michigan.
Ruth is survived by her loving husband, Ray O. Barted, of Au Gres, Michigan; son, Ray A. Barted of Au Gres, Michigan; daughter, Brenda Miller of Marshall, Texas; grandchildren, Eric (Andreia) Miller of Columbus, Ohio, Justin (Aron) Miller of Karnack, Texas; great-grandchildren, Ariel Miller, Juliana Miller, Daniel Miller, and Dayton Brooks; Sister, Joyce Booth of Longmont, Colorado.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Linda Lee Barted; son-in-law, Denny Miller; brother, Harold Thick Jr., sister, Mary Ellen Kraatz; brothers-in-law Harry Schiefer and Ted Booth.
