A graveside ceremony will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Sims Whitney Township Cemetery in Au Gres, Michigan with Chaplain Rick McClendon officiating. Military honors will be rendered at the cemetery immediately following the ceremony.

Obituary Notice

Robert Theodore Humpert, age 82, of Au Gres, Michigan passed away peacefully Saturday, October 31, 2020 surrounded by his loving family at home.
Robert was born April 2, 1938 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Russell A. and Louise (Maul) Humpert. He graduated from Saginaw High School and enlisted in the United States Navy serving proudly for two years until his honorable discharge August 22, 1962. Robert then began a long time career at General Motors as a sheet metal journeyman retiring in 1989 after 31 years of faithful service. He enjoyed building homes, duplexes and apartment complexes his adult life right up until his death.
Robert is survived by his children, Joyce Humpert of Hemlock, Michigan, Debra (Greg) Findlay of Omer, Michigan and Robert Humpert, Jr. of Au Gres, Michigan; six grandchildren, Natasha, Justin, Joshua, Jeffrey, Madison, and Robert III; brother, Benjamin Humpert. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by brother, Donald Humpert and granddaughter, Alyssa Dewald.
A graveside ceremony will take place at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Sims Whitney Township Cemetery in Au Gres, Michigan with Chaplain Rick McClendon officiating.
