Robert "Bob" Joseph LaFleur, of Prescott, passed away at St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw on Saturday, September 21, 2019, age 70 years. He was born in Flint to Oliver and Fayebelle (Holtz) LaFleur on February 25, 1949. Bob was a skilled automotive mechanic, working on school busses, trucks and cars. He was a "Jack of All Trades", and enjoyed tinkering. Bob could repair practically anything that was given to him. He was a people person, and would treat anyone he met with respect. After his retirement from the school system, Bob joined the Ogemaw Sheriff's Posse. He absolutely loved being a part of the Posse and was an active member for 25 years. He also participated in a neighborhood watch program for a long time. Anything he could do to help protect and serve his community was important to him. Above all, Bob dearly adored and cherished his grandchildren and loved spending time and doing things with them! He married his wife and best friend, Annette Rose (Hamacher) on April 4, 1970 at the First Baptist Church in Mt. Morris. Together they have celebrated 49 beautiful years of marriage! Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Annette LaFleur of Prescott; 2 loving children, Rachelle LaFleur of Prescott, and Robert G. (Amy) LaFleur of Prescott; 6 grandchildren, Rodney Smallwood, Travis Smallwood, Michael LaFleur, Jarrid LaFleur, Shania Hensley, and Journie LaFleur; 3 great grandchildren, Bowen Smallwood, MacKenzie Smallwood, and Josephine Kauffman; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Susan LaFleur, brother, Oliver LaFleur, and an infant child. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and his family will celebrate his life through a memorial service at the Judson Baptist Church in Prescott with Pastor Doug Kennedy officiating on Friday, September 27, 2019 at 12:00 PM with a fellowship meal to follow.
