Obituary Notice

Robert “Bob” Cudney, age 90, of Hale passed away on Tuesday, May 08, 2018. He was born on September 23, 1927 in Flint, MI. Bob was a past commander of the Hale VFW, a member of the Hale United Methodist Church, the Hale Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Hale Masonic Lodge. Bob served his country in the merchant marines in WW II and in the Army during the Korean War. Bob retired in 1983 and then served as an Iosco county commissioner for 30 years retiring from that position in January 2017. He enjoyed fishing, going to the casino and playing the roulette table, and getting together with his friends and family.

Bob is survived by his children, Sharon (Frank) Stevens of Clio, JoAnn (Tom) Baker of Colorado, and Huck (Melissa) Cudney of Hale; 9 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Cudney; and his daughter, Carol Walker.

Services for Bob will take place on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 12 noon with a visitation held two hours prior from 10 AM to 12 noon at the Hale Chapel of Buresh Funeral Homes. The service will be officiated by Pastor Mel Leach. Condolences may be left for the family online at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
