Condolences

Bob Sanderson was our longtime friend, so kind and respectful of others, and a dedicated member of Wurtsmith Air Museum. He was proud of his military service and often told us of being on a ship headed overseas when the end of WWII was announced and they had to return home. Bob was responsible for the installing the sound system in the museum, creating interactive displays, and recording informational videos. He set up DVD players with videos for the planes, created the B-17 radio room, and built and donated a large drone model to highlight a more current display. Making the museum interesting for children was always important to him. Bob was an electronic expert who appreciated all the new technology. Although we will miss him, Bob will always be remembered at Wurtsmith Air Museum. We are very grateful to have known Bob and his wife, Nell (Louise).

My Dad and I didn't always see eye to eye but I realized many years ago, that's because we had two different types of minds so it was difficult for either one of us to understand the other. What my Dad always was is smart, generous, fair and kind (even if I didn't used to always think so lol). When it's all said and done, as it is now, he was a good man ... of that there is no doubt. His positon's as an engineer showed his intelligence, his commitment to his church and God showed his faith, his dedication to his wife and family showed his love and the many things he did through life for pleasure and interest showed what an interesting man he was. He was always my mentor and I'll miss our talks about technical things, politics, life and so much more that we had two or three times a week. One that can't be replaced, my Dad.
