Robert (Bob) Reed
Age 8o, of Tawas City, Michigan former resident of Arenac County died on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Lakeview Manor Nursing Home under the loving care of his family. He was born the son of Archibald and Monica (nee Minick ) Reed on December 15, 1932 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Bob worked for General Motors as a Cupola Operator and retired after over 30 years in 1978. Bob loved wood carving and spending time on the golf course with his friends and enjoyed taking trips to the casino. He is survived by his loving wife Carole ( nee Sammons) whom he married on October 14, 1961 in Saginaw, Michigan and his five children Robert (Brendy) Reed Jr., of Saginaw; Steven (Roxann ) Reed of Saginaw; Craig (Kelly) Reed of Pinconning; Ben (Catherine) Bacon of King George, VA and Susan Reisig of Athens, OH; 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; two sisters Fran (Bud) Susterka of Belleville, MI; and Judy Sawatzki of Saginaw, MI and his two brothers Tony (Jolan)Reed of AuGres, MI and Tom (Trudy) Reed of Saginaw, MI. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Hazel, siblings Archie Reed, Betty Karner, Monica Riley and Cress Ann Brutkiewicz and his two grandsons Kelly Reisig and Kenny Bacon.
