Christian burial service for Ray will take place 12:00 Noon, Monday, January 25, 2021 at St. John Lutheran Church, 206 North Court Street, Au Gres, Michigan 48703. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Saginaw, Michigan at 3:00 p.m. Monday afternoon.
In adherence to ongoing pandemic, masks or facial coverings will be required at the church as well as social distancing practiced.

Ray Otto Barted, age 92, of Au Gres, Michigan, formerly of Saginaw, Michigan passed away Thursday morning, January 21, 2021 at Covenant Healthcare Cooper in Saginaw, Michigan.
Ray was born May 19, 1928 in Royal Oak, Michigan to the late Otto W. and Flossie (Stahl) Barted. He enlisted in the United States ARMY obtaining the rank of Corporal until his honorable discharge November 15, 1949. Ray was a heavy equipment operatory for the City of Saginaw for 25 years retiring in 1983. He married the former Ruth A. Thick on July 15, 1950 in Saginaw, Michigan and together raised three children, Ray, Brenda, and Linda.
Ray is survived by his son, Ray A. Barted of Au Gres, Michigan; daughter, Brenda A. Miller of Marshall, Texas; grandchildren, Eric (Andreia) Miller and Justin (Aron) Miller; great grandchildren, Ariel Miller, Juliana Miller, Daniel Miller and Dayton Brooks-Miller. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth A. Barted September 9, 2017; daughter, Linda Barted; son in law, Denny Miller, brother, Jerry Bartel; sister, June Terry.

Ray’s family will greet family and friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the ceremony at Noon. Interment will take place at 3:00 p.m. that afternoon at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Saginaw, Michigan.
