Obituary Notice

Norris Dean Day, age 68 of Cottontown, Tennessee, formerly of Michigan, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021 at his daughter's home. He was born November 26, 1952 in Detroit, MI to the late Anthony Ira & Doris Keeney Day. He worked as a maintenance supervisor for Taylor Door before his retirement. He was an avid golfer and he enjoyed listening to Classic Rock music and loved spending time with his family and friends. He also loved attending the annual CMA Festival and had become a lover of Country music as well.

He is survived by his daughter, Katrina (Rick) Doty, Jr. of Cottontown, TN; Brother, Lenny (Marilyn) Dayof Auburn Hills, MI; Sisters, Diane (Jim) Schmitt of West Branch, MI and Penny (Rick) Fuerst of Prescott, MI; Two grandchildren, Olivia and Ava. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive.

The family will receive guests from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the Buresh Funeral Home (101 E. Harrison Street, Prescott, Michigan 48756) and from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 26, 2021 at the Buresh Funeral Home. Pastor Tom Harvey officiating. Burial at Clayton Township Cemetery with a funeral luncheon to follow at the Richland Township Hall.

Visitors are respectively asked to wear a facial covering and practice social distancing while in the funeral home.
