Obituary Notice

Norman E. Nickell, age 72, of Whittemore, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at his home. He was born on July 17, 1944 in National City to Perry & Lettie (Lambert) Nickell. He worked as machine operator at Prestolite in Bay City and at Cooper Standard in Tawas prior to his retirement. He served in the US Army during the Viet Nam War and in 1967 married Marilyn Spencer. Norm liked to go to auction sales, play cards and visit with friends and neighbors.

Norm is survived by his wife Marilyn; son, Scott both of Whittemore; brother; Lawrence (Wilhelmina) Nickell of Twining, sisters; Jeanette (Ted) Lichota of National City, Blanche (John) Colvin of Whittemore, brothers-in-law; Gerald (Pat) Spencer of Twining, Edward (Barbara) Spencer of Whittemore; mother-in-law, Marion Spencer of Whittemore; and many cousins, nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers; Delbert, James, Leonard; and sister, Diane Haynal.

Visitation will take place on Monday, August 29, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Twining Chapel of the Buresh Funeral Home, 15 Maple Ridge Road in Twining
. Services will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Nathan Jeffords officiating. Interment will be in the Saints Cemetery in Whittemore. Condolences may be made to the family at
