Mary Jane Thayer
Prescott, Michigan

MARY JANE THAYER of Prescott passed away April 12, 2012 surrounded by her family at 59 years of age.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Ted. Her two children, Ted Thayer and Mary Thayer. Grandchildren, Melvin (Jessica) Killenger, Collin (Sherri) Poe, Caleb Killenger, Corren Killenger, Noah Thayer, Kimberly Ranger and Timothy Ranger. Great-Grandchildren, Braydan, Wyatt and Ryan Killenger. Siblings, Frances Ann Irving, Chuck Miller, Ernie Miller and Victor Miller. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary Miller and three grandchildren, Steven, Justin and Joshua Ranger.

Mary was the owner and operator of Thayer’s Family Restaurant in Skidway Lake. She was a member of the Skidway Lake Moose Lodge. She loved gardening, painting yard ornaments, going to the casino and “keeping her family in order”.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at the Prescott Chapel of the Buresh Funeral Home, 101 Harrison Street. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at 3:00 P.M. Pastor Doug Kennedy officiating. Memorial contributions suggested to McLaren Hospice. Memorial contributions suggested to the church.
