Marty A. McNew, 56, of Standish, Michigan passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017 at his home.
Marty was born June 10, 1960 in Hornersville, Missouri to Doyle E. and Charolotte M. (nee Keuber) McNew. He had been employed by Magline in Standish, Michigan for 36 years. Marty enjoyed hunting and fishing, and yardwork. His children even state he had such great pride in his yardwork, they were not allowed to play in the front yard as he was afraid of their “tracks”.
Marty is survived by his children, Aubri (Brandon) Murphy of Bentley, Michigan and Alex McNew of Pinconning, Michigan; grandchildren, Blake, Elliana and Dax; parents, Doyle and Charlotte McNew; siblings, Cindy, Joan, Wayne, and Ed; and many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Marty was preceded in death by two brothers, Scott McNew and Brian McNew; father-in-law, Alex Caverly.
Visitation for Marty will take place 3-8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2017 and 10-11:00 a.m. Friday, June 2, 2017 at Buresh Funeral Home, 15 West Maple Ridge Road, Twining, Michigan 48766. Pastor Rheanna Goodrich will officiate and interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Omer, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
