Obituary Notice
Marilyn S. Larson, 77 of Hale Mi, went home to be with Jesus on Monday April 29, 2019. She passed at home in the care of her loving family. Marilyn was born on Feb 9, 1942 in Chicago Illinois to Joseph and Virginia Kroll. She graduated from high school at St. Louis Academy in Chicago and went on to attend nursing school at Columbus Hospital where she met the love of her life Ken, whom she would marry and spend the next 57 years loving and serving the lord.
After graduating nursing school she worked as a nurse at the Midland hospital where she worked in the obstetrics unit and later ran the nursery for several years before going to work for visiting nurses. She was active in both the Boy scouts and Girl Scouts where she served as a den leader and scout leader. She was active in the Jaycees Auxiliary where she served as president and was also very active at St Pius Catholic Church where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir and played the organ for many years. She had a passion for oil painting and scrapbooking and enjoyed spending quality time with her family at the lake house. They spent many winters in Mesa Arizona with friends and family.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, Ken, her children Karen (Ken) Anderson, Ken (Melanie) Larson, Kevin (Kris) Larson and Kristin (Jim) Studley her sister Margaret, twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins and will be missed by all. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jerome Kroll.
