Obituary Notice

Peterson (Papke), Marguerite Jean, age 83, of Twining, passed away on October 18, 2019.

She is survived by her children; Barbara (Glen) Miller of Gladwin, Vickie (Bob) Pryor of Fort Worth, TX, Marge (Tom Bodine) Peters of Twining, Arthur “Butch” (Gurnith) Papke of Twining, Patty Campbell of Twining, Sandy (Randy) Clayton of Rochester, Marie Papke of Bay City and Step-Daughter; Evelyn. Marguerite is also survived by her brothers; Guy (Donna) Burns of Flint, Larry Burns of Whittemore, sister; Joann Burd of Lapeer and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; Arthur Papke and Clark Peterson. Brothers; Jim and Wayne Burns. Son-in-law; Donald Campbell and Step-son; Frank Peterson.

Marguerite was born in Lapeer, Michigan to Edward and Beulah (Fleming) Burns. She worked as a Nurses Aide at the Ferguson Convalescent Center in Lapeer and later for the Council of Aging in Omer. She was active in the 4-H Club and enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, crochet, going to the casino, playing cards and time spent with her family and friends. She had a strong Christian faith and loved listening to gospel music.

Visitation will be Monday from 2-8 PM at the Buresh Funeral Home in Twining, Michigan. Chaplain Randy Brokaw will officiate her funeral at Noon on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at the Buresh Funeral Home with burial to follow at Cedar Valley.
