Obituary Notice

96, of Oscoda, Michigan passed away Friday, January 4, at home in the loving presence of family. She was born August 28, 1922 in Flint, Michigan to the late Emil and Clara Anderson. Margret married her husband, Robert raising two daughters, Sharon and Connie and one son, Donald. She loved boating, water skiing, fishing, traveling including trips to Europe, Australia, and Hawaii. Margret spend several years wintering in Florida. She often spoke of the joy she experienced gazing through a window in home, which offered a beautiful view of Lake Huron. Margert loved playing her Hawaiian Steel Guitar as a member of a local senior band named "Silver Tones." Most of all, she loved her family deeply. Margret retired from Federal Service as a Comptroller after twenty years of service. While in her early 20’s she worked for the A/C Spark Plug making ammo to support efforts during WWII. Margret is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Jack) Wojciechowski and Connie Wheeler and son, Donald (Joan) Erikson; grandchildren, Danny, Brent, Jerry, Tammi, and Becky, and many great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert, and sister, Elenore. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Service is planned for Saturday at 12:00 pm with visitation at 11:00 am, January 12, 2019 at the Buresh Funeral Home, Oscoda, Michigan. I have known Margret Erikson since the late sixties when I was stationed at Wurtsmith Air Force base. She was a wonderful lady with a big smile and a laugh from her heart. She will be missed by all that knew her. GOD bless her family.
