Obituary Notice

Margaret Susanne (McMurry) Brobst, loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and companion, passed away at her home November 9, 2016 in Whittemore, Michigan, after recently moving from Hale, Michigan. “Maggie” was born on March 28, 1971 in Detroit, Michigan, the youngest daughter of Edward Wayne and Virginia Othelene (Webb) McMurry. She attended Leslie Elementary School of Warrendale, Michigan as an adolescent. Margaret later moved to Hale where she resided for the rest of her time in this world.

Margaret’s family was the most important thing in her life as she spent her years as a homemaker. She greatly adored her three sons, Eric (Shannon) McMurry, Mark (Gabby) Brobst, and Matthew Brobst. Margaret wasn’t a grandmother very long, but the love she had for her granddaughters, Zoey Mae, Aubrey Madelynn and Lani-Lee Rae was nearly tangible.
In addition to her sons and grandchildren, Margaret is survived by her husband, Thomas Brobst; her loving sisters, Sheryl (Richard) Morris, Carolyn (Mark) LaForce, Regina Chickadaunce, Doreena (Ray) Deel, Billie-Jo (Mike) Hutchison, many nieces & nephews, and great companion Don Hucul. She was preceded in death by her brother, Douglas McMurry, and her beloved feline friend, George.

A memorial of life celebration will take place at the Hale Baptist Church, 327 N. Washington Street, Hale, MI 48739 at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 19, 2016, with a luncheon to follow at the church. Condolences to the family may be made at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.

The death of Mrs. Margaret S. Brobst is the most devastating experiences a family can face. At times, the loss may seem unbearable. Please know that there are those who care and more importantly Psalm 34:18 tells us that "God is near to those that are broken at heart. Jehovah is the God of all comfort. My prayers are with you and your family.
— Mrs. Williams
