Services

Funeral ceremony will take place 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mark Catholic Church, 415 South Court Street, Au Gres, Michigan 48703 with Chaplain Randy Brokaw officiating. Interment will follow in Sims Whitney Township Cemetery in Au Gres, Michigan.

Obituary Notice

Margaret Elizabeth Bilacic, age 91, of Turner, Michigan passed away Tuesday morning, February 26, 2019 with family by her side at Eden Fields in Standish, Michigan.

Margaret was born August 20, 1927 in Au Gres, Michigan to the late Adam and Amelia (Dittenber) Freehling. She married Rudy Bilacic on November 7, 1948 in Au Gres, Michigan and together raised three children, Sandra, Steven, and Patricia. Margaret was a member of St. John Congregational Church (the former German Church) and Ladies Aid and then became a member of Au Gres United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, bowling and cooking especially for farm employees daily at Bilacic Farms. Margaret could also be found assisting with field work whether on a tractor or in the fields hoeing.

Margaret is survived by her children, Sandra (Jim) Proulx of Turner, Michigan and Steven (Kathy) Bilacic of Turner, Michigan; grandchildren, Tabitha (Steve Rittenburg) Rudolph, Marc (Trisha) Daniel, Stephanie (Matt) Howard, Lindsay Bilacic, and Al Bilacic; great grandchildren, Tristan Rudolph, Thomas Rudolph, Kelsey Daniel, Kyle Daniel, Kayla Daniel, and Paige Bilacic; sisters-in-law, Alice Freehling and Zella Jean Freehling; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy; daughter, Patricia Forshee; brothers, Harold Freehling, Clarence "Fritz" Freehling, Bernard Freehling, and Roger Freehling.

I printed of all the information for Aunt June as she is in assisted living and don't travel to far any more as she will be 91 in June.
