She put her trust in her Lord and Savior at an early age in a Sunday School class at the First Baptist Church of Stanton, Michigan where she and her family attended while growing up. Lynda graduated from Central Montcalm High School in 1982 and from Calvin College in 1986. She traveled the world for American Leprosy Mission as a photographer, writer, and fundraiser, then in the development fundraising department at Echoing Hills Village near Coshocton, Ohio.

On December 27, 1992 she was married at First Baptist Church of Stanton to Ted Jolls, whom she met while at VBS missions trip to Limestone in Michigan’s upper peninsula. They then moved to Limestone while Ted continued to teach science and history classes at Munising Baptist School and she later subbed and taught history and creative writing. The last 25 years of her life she poured herself into being a true helpmeet to her husband as homemaker, mother, and pastor’s wife especially using her creative talents to minister to the youth and children. She loved to write, including plays for the church, short stories and articles for the local paper. Lynda taught a creative writing course in both the local public school and the Munising Baptist School.

Lynda was deeply loved by and will be severely missed by her husband, Ted, her son, Russell, and all who knew her. I remember vividly the first day Lynda visited CBM. She was a bright spark then and continued to be as your wife and God's Servant. Your comfort is that God rewarded her by taking her to be with Him as her calling was completed. I know your hearts are grieving and will continue to be sore for some time. As you both carry on waiting for THAT day for you, serving God and those folks He has given to you, trust! We have appreciated you for many years and uphold you now.
— Doc and Kathy Webber

Linda was able to see her home, friends, and family and for that she, your family, and we were wonderfully blessed. Ted, so many have shared their memories of your loved ones with us. We are so very saddened..but know that God's glory is being praised for all that he will do for us because he loves us. Whatever His plans are may you and Russell be comforted. I'm so sorry for the loss of your loved one, Lynda. There are no words to describe the pain that's felt when we lose someone we love. I have lost many loved ones, and know the pain. These Bible verses have helped to comfort me: 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 calls God, "....the God of all comfort, who comforts us..."; Revelation 21:3,4 tells us that one day soon, on earth, God will wipe away all tears, death and pain. I hope these will comfort you and help you to endure. Sincerely, Julie Duda

I would like to extend my sincere condolences to your family for your loss. Many people do not know that suffering and death were not part of God's original purpose for mankind. It is still his purpose for us, and our loved ones who have died, to enjoy happy peaceful lives on a paradise earth. (Psalm 37:10, 11)
