Obituary Notice

Lloyd R. "Butch" Sellers, of Tawas City, formerly of Flint, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020 at the Lakeview Manor Healthcare Center in Tawas City, age 78 years. Butch was born in Flint on May 17, 1941 to Carlyle and Vivian (Peel) Sellers. He graduated from Swartz Creek High School. Butch worked 25 years as a Body Shop Manager for Victor George Oldsmobile. He will always be remembered for his love of race cars and the outdoors, enjoying the sports of hunting and fishing. Attending auctions was one of Butch's favorite hobbies as well! He was a lifetime member of the NRA. Butch is survived by his loving brother and sister in law, Ronald and Barbara Sellers of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; nieces and nephews, Randy Sellers of Alger, Jacinda (Sellers) and Larry Johnson of Tawas, Tonette Sellers of Alger, Monty Sellers of National City, Marlo Sellers of Kansas City, Kansas, Crystal (Sellers) and Bryan Ethridge of Greenland, Arkansas; numerous great nieces and great nephews; and many dear friends. Butch is preceded in death by his parents, Carlyle B. and Vivian M. Sellers; and 2 brothers, Arthur and Robert Sellers. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled at this time. Butch will be laid to rest in the Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Butch’s family would like to extend a very sincere and heartfelt thank you to Terri Lambert and the entire staff at Lakeview Manor Healthcare Center for all of the love, care, compassion, and efforts given to Butch during his time at the nursing home.
