Obituary Notice

Kenneth Nathan Knight, age 74, of Prescott, passed away on February 3, 2018 at his home. He was born on March 15, 1943 in Omer, Michigan, to the late Keith and Esther (Baker) Knight. Kenneth was a member of the Maple Ridge Presbyterian Church since 1964. He was also a member of the Northeastern Feeder Pig Association, and the National Farmers Organization. Kenneth enjoyed playing pool, shuffleboard and turkey shoot in the park he wintered in in Florida. As evidenced by his crafting he really enjoyed woodworking projects. He loved to cut firewood! He spent many hours camping and fishing with his wife Gloria and sometimes with his family. Kenneth was a life-long farmer. He farmed first with his Dad and then operated the farm with his wife Gloria until the age of 51 at which time he retired from farming. He did help his son Nathan on the farm after his retirement for a few years but at the same time starting doing woodworking and selling crafts at craft shows with Gloria.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Gloria Jean (Moll) Knight; his children, Jackson Knight, Nathan Knight of Alger, and Wendy Gawne of Whittemore; grandchildren, Trisha (Joel) McLaren, Trent Knight, Lara Valley, Laynee Knight, Tori Gawne, Trinity & Trista Bergeron, and Colten Knight; great-grandchildren, Kennedie McLaren; siblings, Linda Adcock, James & Laurel (Keeney) Knight; and many nieces and nephews. Kenneth was preceded in death by his baby brother Terry Knight

We just saw on channel 5 obituaries about Men's passing and the funeral has already taken place. We have good memories of camping and fishing but mostly the craft shows. We always enjoyed being next to you at the fair grounds and houghton lake where we can still see Kenny's smile as he enjoyed the hot dog's!😁 Sorry we haven't kept in touch more, but we have good memories. God bless and comfort you Gloria.
