Kenneth "Kenny" Robert MacMurray, of Tawas City, passed away at his home on Saturday, January 26, 2019, age 31 years. Kenny was born in Tawas City on July 17, 1987 to Kenneth C. and Wendy L. (Durfee) MacMurray. He graduated from Tawas Area High School with the class of 2005. Kenny was employed as a desk clerk with the Bay Inn of Tawas City for 6 years, welcoming guests to the area with a warm and kind smile. Kenny will always be remembered for his passion for the outdoors and enjoying the beauty of nature. He had a heart full of love for animals.....especially his faithful companion dog, Bree. The exploration trips to Lumberman's Monument and Tuttle Marsh were amongst Kenny's favorites! His family and friends will forever remember the many gorgeous pictures of the sunrises and sunsets over the water that he would capture! Kenny would meticulously build and paint model cars and trucks and emphasize detail beyond measure! Kenny had a fanatic loyalty to the Pittsburgh Steelers football team and proudly cheered his team on, even being from Michigan! Above all, Kenny had a keen wit and sense of humor, and along with his charming smile, could brighten up any room. He loved and cherished his family and his dear friends, and those who knew and loved Kenny will always carry his memory in their hearts. Kenny is survived by his beloved mother and father, Wendy L. MacMurray of East Tawas and Kenneth C. MacMurray of East Tawas; his brother and best friend, Ian MacMurray of Saginaw; his cherished companion dog, Bree; maternal grandmother, Connie LeClair of Tawas City; paternal grandmother, Mari MacMurray of Tawas City; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends. Kenny is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James T. MacMurray; maternal grandfather, Richard Joseph Durfee Sr., and his cousin, Justin Steckbeck. Kenny will be cremated and at a later date, his family will celebrate his life through a memorial service with the time and location to be announced. Can’t believe you’re gone. Memories are flooding my brain like crazy!! You were a pain in the butt always stealin my Gatorade! I had to get my own fridge and you still stole it!! Haha.
