Obituary Notice
Kazuko H. Bacon
Age 79, of Wilber Township, Michigan passed away at her home peacefully with her family at her side. She was born September 30, 1932 in Ibaraki
Prefecture, Japan.
"Kaz", as she was known by her many friends, worked for many years at the craft shop on Wurtsmith Air Force Base in Oscoda, MI.
She is remembered by many as a gifted artist in many media, and enjoyed working in her garden and watching the many birds. She also travelled around the country with her husband in later
years. She married Henry F. Bacon on September 17, 1956 in Tokyo, Japan and together they raised three children who survive her -
Jennifer and her husband John Alexander, Jessica and her husband Gene Sanker, and Jeffery Bacon and his wife Samantha Lucas; grandchildren Amy and Kelly Alexander and Kevin Sanker;
in addition to her siblings living in Japan, brothers Akio, Yoshia and sisters Teruko, Ritsuko and Shigeko. Kazuko was preceded
in death by her husband Henry on January 12, 2011 and her sister Hisako.
Memorial service was held at Wilbur Methodist Church on Monday,May 14th.
