Kathleen “Kathy” J. Martin

Age 57, of Oscoda, MI passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at her home. She was born on February 27, 1963 in Peoria, IL to Donald and Joan Kelso (nee Vogel). Kathy graduated from East Peoria High School in 1981. She later pursued a career in home care. Kathy worked for the Iosco County Commission on Aging until her retirement in 2015. She enjoyed traveling, camping, gardening and especially spending time with her family. Kathy is survived by her husband, Herbert Martin, daughter Jessica Bent; three sons, Steven, Erick and Christopher Martin; mother, Joan Kelso; brother Marion Kelso; 11 grandchildren, Lily, Elliana, Jodi, Chloe, Caleb, Olive, Jacob, Alexia, Natalie, Tristan and Bryson. She is also survived by her niece, Ashley Stear and two nephews, Brandon Stear and Chris Kelso. Kathy was preceded in death by father Donald Kelso, sister Mary Kelso-Bednar, grandmother Mary Kelso and granddaughter Ariel Martin. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at the Buresh Funeral Home in Oscoda, MI. The place of interment will be the Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin, IL.
