Obituary Notice

Joseph Steven Maldonado, age 74, of Oscoda, Michigan, formerly of Saginaw, Michigan passed away peacefully Saturday morning, November 9, 2019 with family by his side at home.

Joe was born June 30, 1945 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Jose E. and Gertrude F. (Humphrey) Maldonado. He enlisted in the United States Navy at 17 years old with his parent’s permission and proudly served during the Vietnam Conflict until his honorable discharge in 1971. After retirement, he and his life long companion, Sara L. Corey, moved to Oscoda, Michigan where they were able to enjoy the great outdoors of Northern Michigan hunting, fishing, and traveling.

Joe is survived by his loving companion, Sara; daughter, Tammy Miller of Great Falls, Montana; sisters, Connie Tackebury and Audrey Bucaro; step children, Carolyn Graham and Chad Brewer; grandchildren, William Hoffman, Dezray Babcock, Victoria Babcock, Dallas Butzin, McCarty Graham; great grandchildren, Madison and Greyson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
