Joseph Frederick Ruzicska, age 80 of Prescott, passed away on February 14, 2021.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Beverly. Children, Joseph (Heidi) Ruzicska, Jr. of St. Helen, Bernard Ruzicska of Dearborn Heights and Jennifer (Don) Painter of Garden City. Grandchildren, Samantha Ruzicska, Kayleigh Ruzicska and Nicholas Painter. Great-Grandchildren, Gracelynn, Isaac and Grayson. Siblings, Rudolph (Rosalie) Ruzicska, Janet (Carl) Schweitzer and Charles (Maria) Ruzicska. Brother-in-law of Harvey (Betty) Chapoton and dear uncle of their children. Life long friend, Edward (Gloria) Kaczor. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Joseph Frederick Ruzicska was born on April 23, 1940 in Hamtramck, Michigan to the late Rudolph Theodore and Agnes Laura (Urban) Ruzicska. He graduated from Pershing High School before serving our country with the United States Navy where he received the National Defense Service Medal. He married Beverly Anne (Koschmeder) on September 2, 1964 in Detroit, Michigan. He worked for Ford Motor Company in addition to conducting restoration work for the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. Joseph was a member of the American Legion Post #370 in Skidway Lake, Michigan. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and he cherished his “time in the woods”.
