Obituary Notice

Jonathan P. Maynard, age 59, of Lupton, Michigan passed away on January 1, 2020.

He is the beloved father of Samantha, Sabrina (Kevin) and Bonnie. Cherished son of Janet and the late Charles Maynard. Grandfather of five. Dearest siblings; James, Tim, Shawn, Heidi, Pam (Jeff) and Michael. Loving uncle of 19.

Jonathan was born in Detroit and grew up in East Point, Michigan. He worked as a cement foreman for 30 years and loved what he did and taught so many. He was passionate about horses and owned one of his own. Jonathan enjoyed the study of geology, was an avid outdoorsman and a survivalist who loved fishing. He also was an amazing athlete that excelled in boxing and baseball. He loved music, his favorite holiday was Christmas and most of all…enjoyed being with his family.

A graveside committal service will be at 3:00 PM Friday, January 3, 2020, at the Esmond-Evergreen Cemetery in Hale, Michigan with Pastor Dean R. Muhle Officiating.

I Am beyond sad and Heartbroken from the loss of this great person and friend I have known for 47 years! Our families have been through so much together! Jon was a matter of fact guy! He let you know what he thought good or bad! One of a kind! I watched him play Euchre could call a renig or could tell what everyone played very good at it! I will miss his compliments and all around love for his family and me ❤️ The world is a different place already without him in it! But Heaven is so much more joyous now.
