A time of gathering will be held at the Buresh Funeral Home, 121 South Washington Street, Hale, Michigan on Friday, May 15, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the committal ceremony. Due to Covid-19 restrictions on gathering and social distancing, we will be limiting the number of attendees at one given time.

A graveside committal ceremony will take place at 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2020 at Esmond Evergreen Cemetery with Pastor Todd Vossen officiating. Those in attendance that are not immediate family are asked to remain in their vehicles to adhere to the restrictions mandated due to the Covid-19 pandemic and social gathering and distancing.

John Henry Griffith, age 87, of Hale, Michigan passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020 under the loving care of his wife and family at home.

John was born December 16, 1932 in Blaine, Kentucky to the late Millard and Annie (Edwards) Griffith. He married the former Vivian Anne Moore in Kentucky and together they have shared 68 years of marriage. John worked for General Motors in the V8 plant for over 30 years before retiring. After retirement, he would enjoy hunting, fishing, and camping.

John is survived by his wife, Vivian; nieces and nephews, Virginia (Joe) Ingweiller, Ronnie Moore, Lonnie Moore, Lena Jennings, Evelyn Gannon, Billy Moore; great nieces and nephews, Charles (Joyce) Davis, Ricky Smith, Nason Smith, Brian Moore, Julie Moore, Angie Gonyer, Jeff (Melissa) Moore; and many great great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by brother, WIlliam Moore and sister, Mina Maxine Moore.

Visitation for John will take place from 2-3:00 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2020 at the Buresh Funeral Home, 121 South Washington Street, Hale, Michigan 48739. A graveside ceremony will be held immediately following at 3:00 p.m. at Esmond Evergreen Cemetery in Hale, Michigan. Pastor Todd Vossen will officiate. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, those attending the visitation will be limited to adhere to restrictions of the number of attendees and social gathering. At the graveside ceremony those that are not immediate family are asked to remain in the vehicles to adhere to the restrictions of the number of people gathering and social distancing as well. Heartbroken to hear of Johns passing.He was such a sweet man and always took such good care of Vivian. Always enjoyed waiting on them at Tawas Bigboy. My sincerest condolences to Vivian and the family.
