Obituary Notice

Joan Alma Dahlke, age 81 of Prescott, MI, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at her home with her family by her side. She was born on January 5, 1937 in Springfield, MO to Orville & Jessie (Foster) French. She married Donald Dahlke and they lived in Flint for 20 years moving to Prescott in 1973. She worked as a cook at Alley’s Pickin Chicken in West Branch for 20 years.

She was a member of the Skidway Lake Baptist Church. Joan loved attending her church, spending time with family, visiting friends, feeding her birds and deer and sitting with her beloved cat, Baby.

She is survived by her daughters, Crystal (Ryan) Ostrander of Whittemore and Tina (Rich) Casanova of West Branch; grandchildren, Tabby (Lance) Andrews, Heather (Ryan) Stoll, Larry Johnson, Jr.,Staci Ostrander, Chase Ostrander, Ben Casanova, Nicole (Chris) Wright, Jacob Casanova; great grandchildren, Nate Johnson, Jasmine Andrews, Noah Andrews, Nate Casanova, Emma Wright, Ella Wright; brother Jerry French of Surprise, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Dahlke in 1999 and daughter, Donette Johnson in 2011.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Faith Alive Church, 2945 Hansen Road, West Branch with visitation with the family from 10 to 11 am. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
