Obituary Notice

Janice K. VanDrese, age 66, of West Branch, MI formerly of Prescott, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Saginaw St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was born on January 6, 1952 in West Branch to Richard & Deloris (Bergquist) Crainer. She worked as bus driver and paraprofessional for Whittemore-Prescott Area Schools prior to her retirement in 2010. Janice enjoyed camping, fishing, playing sports, enjoying her grandkids and reminiscing of the past.

Janice is survived by her husband, Kevin VanDrese of West Branch; daughters, Jeanna (Scott) MacDonald of Whittemore, Brenda (Jason) Liddell of Prescott; mother, Deloris Barager of Prescott; grandchildren, Bryce MacDonald, Baelee MacDonald, Blake Liddell, Caitlin Liddell and Paige Liddell; brothers, Ken (Julie) Crainer of Prescott, Ed (Pam) Crainer of Whittemore; sister, Fayette Crainer of Bay City, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Crainer; step-father, Jack Barager; and niece, Jenni Marsh.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 2 to 8 pm at the Buresh Funeral Home in Prescott and again on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Judson Baptist Church in Prescott. Services will be at the church at 1:00 pm on Saturday with Pastor Doug Kennedy officiating. Interment will take place at the Richland Township Cemetery in Prescott. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family or to a charity of the donor’s choice. On line condolences may be made to the family at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
