Janet Louise Norton, age 75, of Twining, Michigan passed away Thursday morning, November 7, 2019 with her family by her side at home.

Janet was born March 3, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Richard and Edith (nee Morris) Heinrich. She married Merlin Charles Norton on May 10, 1963 and together raised one son, Jeffrey. Janet was a member and attended faithfully Twining Baptist Church. She was an active Sunday school teacher for over 40 years there. Janet enjoyed sewing, attending church and spending time with her family and friends. After Merlin’s death in 1992, Janet opened Luv-N-Care Daycare.

Janet is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Michelle) Norton of Twining, Michigan; siblings, Peggy Heinrich, Jim (Donna) Heinrich, Patricia (Dan) Cardona and Dan (Terry) Heinrich; grandchildren, Britney Norton, Erin (Tegrea) Bussa, Heather (Alex) Hupert, Nathan (Shelby) Ecker, Danial (Mikayla) Norton, Kymberly (Matt) Dait; Ali Norton; great grandchildren, Isaiah, Nicholas, Foster, Greyson, Vyvian, Henry, and two more expected; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

According to Janet’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. at the Twining Baptist Church, 410 West Main Street, Twining, Michigan 48766. Pastor David Evans will officiate.
