I was blessed to have this man as my father in law for 40 years. He was a great old bird! And I loved him dearly. Will miss u dad.

Please accept my condolences on behalf of your loved one, James "Jim" Oliver Burgess. My father mentioned a "Jim Burgess" at times, and I wonder if he was this Jim Burgess? My father - Richard Dykman - (1929-2016) worked with the Oakland County Road Commission and Grand Trunk Railroad; he lived in Ohio for a short time and worked for a railroad there, but came back to Michigan. Anyways, again, I am sorry for your loss. These Bible scriptures have helped me to cope, and I hope they help you as well: 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 - the God of comfort; Revelation 21:3,4 - God will end death, tears, pain; Acts 24:15 - God will resurrect our loved ones.
