Obituary Notice

Age 52, of Oscoda, MI passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019. He was born on July 14, 1966 in Tawas City, MI to Gerald E., Sr. and Beth A. LeCureux. Jerry graduated from Oscoda High School in 1984. He worked as a highly skilled plumber and carpenter. Jerry was an extremely hard worker and if he wasn’t busy working on something, he wasn’t happy. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed canoeing, kayaking, swimming, camping and traveling. The AuSable River was his favorite place. Jerry was a family man and great friend. His love for life will truly be missed. Jerry is survived by his children, Cassandra (Jose Garcia) LeCureux, Gerald E. LeCureux, III (Allyson Ridgway), Kara Gonyea and Rhiannon LeCureux; parents, Gerald E. LeCureux, Sr. and Beth A. LeCureux; sister, Ginger (Douglas) Forsythe; grandchildren, Sammy, Gabe, Eli, Jax, Araceli, Ariana and one granddaughter on the way; nephew, Douglas (Krysti) Forsythe with great nephew on the way and niece, Bethany Forsythe and his 3-legged dog, Sire. A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m., January 26, at the American Legion in Oscoda, Michigan; his cremated remains will be spread in the summer of 2019 and you may offer your condolences online at
