We send our deepest heartfelt sympathies to Dans' beloved Wife JoAnn, all of his children, grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, along with the rest of their family members. From the first day that I met Dan, I knew that he was a very special person, always kind. loving, and always fun to be around. Dan & JoAnn always made me feel like part of the family. He loved his children & grandchildren. He liked to play cards and eat crabs and hang out with good friends and just enjoy life! Heaven has gained another beautiful angel. Dan will always hold a special place in my heart always. May he R.I.P. He will be greatly missed. ❤ XOXOXO

JoAnn, it is with deep condolences that I am writing to you. Danny has always been in my thoughts through the years. Whenever I see a sailor, one of his two children-my precious ones in Maryland, see something on TV about the Kitty Hawk, see the likeness of him in the girls that loved their daddy dearly for a few short years. He was a sailor, a carpenter, a meat cutter, a truck driver (after his father), a father, and husband. He spent a few long uncomfortable scary 13 days in Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis on board his ship the Kitty Hawk. I also send my deepest condolences and thoughts to his second wife. Best to you all. And to his brother Robert Cantrell. May God give you peace. Patricia Cantrell Lovelace
