Obituary Notice

Georgia Delores Hewitt, age 92, of East Tawas, former resident of Byron, died on May 3, 2018 at Tawas St. Joseph Hospital with her family at her side.
She was born the daughter of Deloss and Theresa (O'Connell) Badgero on Dec. 5, 1925 in Lansing. After graduation she went to school at the U.S. World War II Cadet Nursing Corps and worked in the factory during the war.
During her younger years she liked living on Lobdell Lake in Argentine, and later enjoyed living on the family farm in Byron from 1965-1975, with her ex-husband Jay R. Hewitt Jr. She loved having a large garden, taking care of all the animals and raising the kids in that environment. She loved sewing, reading and spending time on all types of crafts.
Georgia is survived by her children, Ellen (Mike) Love, Bruce Hewitt, Deborah (John Pingleton) Chambers, Theresa (ex Randy Bergeron), Delores (Greg) Hartwell and Michael Hewitt; grandchildren, Michel, Zackery and Sara Love, Christopher, Neil and David Bergeron and Michael Hewitt; great grandchildren, Alan Tilt, Ivy and Chloe Love and Talon and Hudson Bergeron; many nieces, nephews and friends. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Sarah (Charles) Mohn and Bob (Kathy) Badgero; and her nephews, John and Jimmy Mohn.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and private family services will be held at a later date. Condolences may be shared at
