Obituary Notice

George B. Harmon, age 89 of Twining, MI, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born on August 15, 1927 in Richland Twp., Prescott, MI to Benjamin & Emma (Drow) Harmon. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. George enjoyed farming, camping, hunting, fishing, gardening, family reunions, his cats and dogs and especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

George is survived by his wife, Marion (VanSickle) Harmon; his children, Cathy (Frank) Muth of Dearborn, Cheryl (Jim) Johnson of Dearborn, Perry Harmon of Taylor, Jerry (Sally) Harmon of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Nick (Kirsten) Muth II, Stephanie (Ahmed) Alkubani, Courtney (Jon) Raines, Jessica Hutching, Ashleigh Harmon, Hannah Harmon, Parker Brown, Spencer Brown, Emily Brown; great grandchildren, Aiden Hutching, Jonathan Raines, Jr., Jeremiah Raines, Nicholas Muth III, Rami Alkubani, Selma Alkubani, Austin Muth; sisters, Dorothy Thompson of West Branch, & Ruth Fraser of Hubert, NC and brother, Robert Harmon of Holland, MI, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Helen Cole and Esther Yates.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Buresh Funeral Home in Prescott. Services will be held at 1 pm Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the funeral home with interment and military honors at the Richland Township Cemetery in Prescott. I just wanted to let you know our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We always enjoyed visiting with George. May it help you all to know he is definitely in a better place.
