Obituary Notice

Genevieve Claire Card, age 83, of Twining, MI, passed away at her home on Friday, October 20, 2017. She was born on April 8, 1934 in Ann Arbor to John & Mary (Gubry) Quinn. She married Kenneth Card and after spending their honeymoon fishing in Canada they settled in Saginaw. In 1965 she and Ken bought their John Deere dealership, Card Equipment & Co. in Twining where she was the bookkeeper. It is still to this day run by the family. They spent as much time as possible in Canada at the cabin and in Florida. They were separated after all those years by his passing on January 18, 2004.
Genevieve loved knitting, crocheting, shopping and gambling.

Genevieve is survived by her children; Michael (Shelly) Card of Twining, Mary Jo Langstaff of Twining, David (Carrie) Card of Cape Coral, FL, Daniel Card, I of Twining, Terry (Beth) Card of Twining, step-daughter, Connie (Dennis) Stutzman of Whitehouse, TN; 20 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; brother, Gerald (Lisa) Quinn of Saginaw, sister, Joan (Jack) Sawinski of Jacksonville, FL; sister-in-law, Joyce Quinn of Flint; special friends, Lea, Alice & Nancy. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth; brother, Larry Quinn; son-in-law, Bill Langstaff.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Buresh Funeral Home in Twining with Pastor David Evans officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 11:00 am until the time of service on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
