Frederick “Larry” Lawrence Wallace, 78, of Hale, Michigan passed away Monday morning, June 25, 2018 at Lakeview Manor in Tawas City, Michigan with family by his side.
He was born September 23, 1939 to the late John and Gladys M. (Denstedt) Wallace. He married the former Halley Elizabeth Hilts on June 27, 1959 and together they raised two daughters and two sons, Dianne, Leonard, Donna and Lee. Larry was a machinist for many years for Kneeland Industries and Sun Hydraulics. He was a member of Rods and Relics Car Club and a past member of the Hale School Board from 1974-1978. Larry enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles, watching NASCAR racing, racing at Whittemore Speedway. Larry’s favorite thing was to spend time with his family and friends, telling stories, playing cards and laughing!
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Halley; children, Dianne (Terry) Allen of Hale, Michigan, Leonard (Kelley) Wallace of Fenton, Michigan, Donna (John) Richardson of Woodstock, Georgia, Lee Wallace of Honor, Michigan; grandchildren, Nicole (Jacob) Farrand of Hale, Michigan, Tyler (Courtney) Allen of Lansing, Michigan, Kyle (Marielle) Wallace of Westminster, Colorado, Megan Wallace of Wyoming, Michigan, Sara Richardson of Covington, Georgia, Darcy Richardson of Woodstock, Georgia; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Farrand, Brayden Farrand, Reece Allen; sisters, Marie (Richard) Kaiser of Glennie, Michigan, Mary Weaver of Hale, Michigan; brother, Donald (Linda) Wallace of Hartland, Michigan; many nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of life memorial service will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2018 at Buresh Funeral Home, 121 South Washington Street, Hale, Michigan 48739. Rev. Melvin Leach will officiate.
