Christian burial service will take place 4:00 p.m. (in state 3:00 p.m.) Saturday, September 21, 2019 at St. John Lutheran Church, 206 North Court Street, Au Gres, Michigan. Pastor Frederick T. Cordts will officiate with interment following in Linwood Cemetery in Au Gres, Michigan with military honors.

Obituary Notice

Fred Charles Williamson, age 83, of Turner, Michigan passed away at home Monday, September 16, 2019. Fred was born June 26, 1936 to the late Richard and Frieda Williamson. He served honorably in the United States Army and National Guard. Fred married Marilyn Schlagel on November 24, 1962. He retired from the United States Gypsum Company in 1998. Fred was a hobby farmer raising cattle and had a love for horses. He was also an avid deer hunter.

Fred is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marilyn, and their four children, Keith Williamson, Vicki (Ray) Hollenbeck, Melissa Williamson, and Kurt Williamson. He is also survived by five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, brother, Larry (Janice) Williamson and sister, Betty Huber. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by sisters, Norine Jones and Iva Burns, brothers, Richard Williamson and Bernard Williamson.
