Obituary Notice

Floyd Frank Kraszewski, 90, of East Tawas, Michigan passed away Friday, July 13, 2018 at Medilodge of Tawas City.

Floyd was born September 13, 1927 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Frank and Laddie (Manial) Kraszewski. He proudly served in the United States NAVY during World War II. Floyd had been employed by the Saginaw Fire Department as a Chauffeur for 28 years. He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman, loved working in his yard, traveling, picking mushrooms and blueberries and watching the Detroit Tigers! Floyd was a member of AARP, American Legion Post 225, and the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 422.

Floyd is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Marie Kraszewski of East Tawas; son, Mark (Kimberle) Kraszewski of Cadillac; grandchildren, Danielle Davenport, Brandon Kraszewski, Raymond Brady, and Christopher Kraszewski; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jean Furlo and Patricia Linton, both of Saginaw; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Floyd was preceded in death by a daughter, Catherine Blake; son, Richard “Ricky” Kraszewski; brother, Chester Kraszewski; sister, Eleanor Malecke.

According to Floyd’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 12:00 Noon, Monday, July 23, 2018 at Buresh Funeral Home, 416 Whittemore Street, Tawas City, Michigan with military honors being rendered. Floyd’s family and friends will gather at the funeral home Monday morning from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at Noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Iosco County Soldiers and Sailors Commission, Post Office Box 778, Tawas City, Michigan 48763.
