Obituary Notice

Elsie Louise Fisher (Richardson), of East Tawas, formerly of Whittemore, passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw on Friday, October 19, 2018, age 84 years. Elsie was born on July 4, 1934 in Vassar to Harry and Ella (Soper) Richardson. She graduated from Mayville High School in the class of 1954. During her life, Elsie worked hard around her family home and was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother who raised her children with respect, discipline, and love. She truly enjoyed reading books and novels, and doing word search puzzles. Elsie is preceded in death by her husband, Austin Fisher, to whom she married on March 23, 1982. Together they were married for 21 years, until Austin's passing in 2003. Elsie is also preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Ella Richardson; brothers and sisters; and 2 step children. Elsie is survived by her loving children, Bonnie (Darrel) Dunn of Glennie, Sue Fisher of East Tawas, step children, Eddie Fisher, Sr. of Tawas City, Austin Ray Fisher of Tawas City, Robert Sr. (Connie) Fisher of Hemlock, and Ronald (Gail) Fisher; 4 grandchildren, Carol, Joshua, Jonathan, and Matthew; 6 step grandchildren, Eddie Jr, Lori, Brenda, Jodi, Troy, and Robert Jr; 3 great grandchildren; many step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place, and her family will host a celebration of her life at a later date.
