Obituary Notice

Elaine Marie LaCourt, 70, of National City, Michigan, formerly of Bay City, Michigan passed away Tuesday morning, September 12, 2017 at her home with her family by her side.
Elaine was born September 11, 1947 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Leo and Evelyn (Jersevic) Witek. She graduated from Saginaw High in 1965. On August 2, 1969, Elaine married George Joseph LaCourt in Saginaw, Michigan and together they raised two children, James and Katherine. Elaine worked for many years at the Boys and Girls Club. She enjoyed wintering in Alabama, kayaking, walking, and most of all spending time with her grandsons.
Elaine is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, George; son, James (Linda) LaCourt of Bay City, Michigan; daughter, Katherine (Michael) Sobczyk of Lansing, Michigan; grandsons, Vance LaCourt, Kaiden Sobczyk, Owen LaCourt, and Braylon Sobczyk; many nieces and nephews and special friends.
A celebration of life will be held 4:00 p.m. Friday, September 15, 2017 at North Euclid Church of God, 3430 North Euclid Avenue, Bay City, Michigan 48706.
